LOCAL AND REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION
Our mission is to provide mobility options for travel to jobs, health and medical services, social functions, community services, recreational and educational facilities, etc. Through cooperative public and private efforts, we strive to provide effective and cost-efficient public transportation services to the Northeastern Colorado region. Our goal is to provide the best service to you!
The Northeastern Colorado Association of Local Governments (NECALG) Transportation Department strives to bring our citizens and visitors closer together through public transportation. We operate County Express, Prairie Express and the new Bustang Outrider service from Sterling to Greeley and Denver. NECALG is here to support the citizens and visitors of Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington and Yuma Counties in northeastern Colorado.
NECALG offers reliable transportation solutions to those with limited mobility options or who choose to use public transportation for their needs instead of personal vehicles. We offer trips that promote rural-to-urban connectivity, and allow citizens to stay connected to the people and places that are most important.
NECALG’s public transportation offers a transportation solution to citizens who are limited in their ability to drive. Senior citizens utilize the state’s public transit system to assist them in getting to doctor’s appointments, the grocery store and other places that help improve their quality of life.
Medical Appointments and Treatments
NECALG provides rides for persons of all ages and abilities to be able to attend medical, dental, or other appointments on a regular or infrequent basis. Setting up this transportation is kept as simple as possible to permit all to utilize it.
Medicaid transportation is provided by County Express.
Individuals with Disabilities
NECALG enables individuals with disabilities access to their community. We offer wheelchair and handicapped accessible transportation to accommodate anyone who wants to be connected. This includes all of our available services through County Express, Prairie Express and Bustang Outrider. Please contact us to schedule your transportation needs and to let us know of any special requirements you may have.
College and Other Students
Colorado has seen continued growth in our college enrollment. Students can utilize public transit not only to get to the campus but to connect with destinations in the surrounding communities. Call us for more information.
NECALG offer trips for employees to local business in their respective areas. Many companies collaborate with public transit providers in their areas to ensure employees have reliable transportation to and from work. We are also able to offer transportation on a regular basis for those that desire to use our services instead of finding other means of getting to and from your place of employment.
Our reservation based, curb to curb transportation provides valuable services for residents of Northeastern Colorado. Services are available for the general public, Senior riders, medicaid and HCBS travel. Travel destinations include both local requests and travel to some Front Range destinations. Please visit our County Express page to learn more.
Prairie Express, our local fixed route system in Sterling Colorado, provides access to all major employers, medical facilities, retail centers and educational institutions.
