COUNTY EXPRESS

County Express, provides curb to curb transportation for residents of northeastern Colorado. These services are available to all in the general public including the elderly, persons with disabilities, students, Medicaid and HCBS travel, and more.

Senior citizens may contact the Area Agency on Aging if assistance is needed for fares for medical transportation.

HOW TO SCHEDULE A RIDE:

Please call the dispatcher for your county at the following number:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION​

  • You must call before 5 pm to schedule a ride.

  • You must call a minimum of 24 hours in advance to schedule a local ride.

  • You must call a minimum of 72 hours in advance to schedule an out of town ride.

You must provide the following information to schedule your transportation:

  • Name

  • Pickup location

  • Preferred time (if known)

  • Is a wheelchair being used

  • Special requirements or needs (service animal, support person, medical device required)

  • Drop-off location and time 

  • ACTUAL time of appointment (if any)

Same information is required to schedule a return trip or to have the driver wait for the return (depending on time and location).

RATES AND PASSES:

Please note. Drivers do not carry cash. Please have exact change available. No change will be given.

Local fares: 

General Public $3.00 (up to 3 stops or 20 minutes when pre arranged with dispatcher)

Senior (60+ Years) Discount passes available through Area Agency on Aging. You may contact them at 970 867-9409 Ext 4001.

Travel Outside City Limits including Front Range Destinations:

For locations outside of our traditional area of operation rates vary. Please see our RATE SHEET  or call your local office for additional information.

Senior Citizens

Senior Citizens pay half price for all fares. Discounts cannot be given when a ticket book is used unless it was provided by the Area Agency on Aging (AAA).

POLICIES:

**To file a grievance, please fill out the appropriate form below and return it to the Transportation Department.

REASONABLE MODIFICATION:

NECALG may allow reasonable modification of its policies to accommodate the special needs of persons with disabilities in order to allow them to fully utilize our services as required by 49 CFR Part 37.5(i.3). 

Whenever possible a request for a reasonable modification or accommodation shall be filed/requested in advance by contacting us or submitting the Reasonable Modification Request Form.

Requests for reasonable modifications or accommodations will not be approved if the request would: fundamentally alter the nature of the service, program, or activity; create a direct threat to the health or safety of others; result in an undue financial and administrative burden; or the individual would still be able to fully use the services provided by Prairie Express without the modification. Individuals with disabilities may file complaints regarding reasonable modification or accommodation below by completing the form or by contacting County Express or Prairie Express directly.
