County Express and Prairie Express COVID regulations

Northeast Colorado Association of Local Governments (NECALG), the operators of County Express Bus Service and Prairie Express Bus Service is funded through riders, local, county, state, and federal funds. We are obligated to practice safe policies for COVID and other necessary safety considerations.

Masks During Transit

At any time that the county is listed at condition red, mask exceptions cannot be made due to medical conditions for the safety of our drivers and other passengers.

At condition orange or below, exceptions may be made due to medical necessity of the rider. Mask policies apply to all riders over the age of 2 years.

For County Express, please notify the dispatcher at the time your appointment is scheduled if you are not able to wear a COVID mask when required (condition orange or below). State regulations prohibit the operation of public transportation when these requirements are not met.

Sanitation

Prairie Express buses are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized a minimum of daily. This is increased to hourly under condition red.

County Express buses are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized a minimum of daily. This is completed after every ride under condition red.

Offices

Offices are closed to the public under condition orange or above.

When the COVID level for the county drops below orange, the office is open to the public while following proper COVID policies.
